Instalment.ca may earn a commission when you click or apply through links on this site. This is a straightforward commercial arrangement, and we want you to know about it before you click. When you follow a link to a lending partner and complete an application or another qualifying action, that partner may pay us a fee. This is how the site is funded, and it is why we can keep our guides free to read and free to use.

Commissions do not affect which products appear or the order in which they appear. Our editorial content is written separately from our commercial arrangements. We do not accept payment to rank a lender higher, to move a product up a list, or to publish a favourable description. If a lender pays us more than another, that does not buy it a better position or a better write-up. Our goal is to publish accurate, useful information, because that is the only reason readers come back.

How to identify an affiliate link. Affiliate links usually point to a partner site or to a redirect address rather than to a page on this site, and they often open in a new tab. They may be marked as sponsored or carry a nofollow relationship in the page code. The link text may describe the offer, and the destination domain may differ from the partner main website. Where a link is commercial, we aim to disclose that clearly and close to the link itself, not buried in a footer.

We follow the spirit of the disclosure expectations set by the Competition Bureau of Canada and by advertising regulators in other markets, which require that material connections be disclosed clearly and in plain language.
